We have used Hurford Salvi Carr to manage our rental flat for several years. Recently a tenancy came to an end and Hurford Salvi Carr found us a new tenant immediately with no void period. Unfortunately, several months in the new tenant asked to surrender the lease for personal reasons. Marc and Judy dealt with all the negotiations and paperwork around the surrender smoothly and efficiently and then found us a replacement tenant swiftly with no void. Great service.

Judy and John were instrumental in helping us move in within a week! It was ambitious at best – but they made it happen. And after we moved in they helped us out with random (and inane) paperwork requests in an incredibly efficient manner.

I have been absolutely satisfied with the service I have received from all the staff involved in renting my apartment for the last many years. All the staff are very professional and caring, everything gets done on time with a very high standard.

helpful It was challenging for me being faced with the incredible levels of bureaucracy involved in renting in UK now.. with me here and my family not yet arrived, Marc and Judy gently guided me through the process, my frustration ebbed although my amazement remains..

John and Judy were both fantastic, really helpful and readily available. My only slight niggle with the process were the third party agencies Hurford Salvi Carr use for referencing and checking in.

Both referees complained that the referencing process was time consuming and the online system didn’t work. My boss ended up having to call the agency for support and fill out the form twice. In addition, one of the agents called the office and reduced our receptionist to tears. Obviously, both experiences were incredibly embarrassing for me, but not Hurford Salvi Carr’s fault.

The checking in agency were also poorly informed. The itinerary and report they produced are by far the best I’ve ever seen as a tennant, but it would have been nice to have received the keys from someone who could tell me where the car park was, where the rubbish went, how the heating works etc.

But all in all, great agency and lovely people.

Excellent service from all of the team at Hurford Salvi Carr from start to finish. Polite, helpful and prompt, and the property monthly rental cost is more than fair. Pushed by the 3rd party referencing company to get all documentation over immediately early on in the process, but that just meant everything was sorted well in advance, and so I suppose it was one less thing to worry about. Would recommend

I felt I must reply to express how happy we have been with the service and organisation of yourself, Andrew and the company. If our tenancy continues to run as smoothly as the letting process we will be very happy indeed.

I’m not normally one for writing reviews but, as almost all of my previous experiences with letting agencies have been quite stressful and problematic (unorganised!), I think it’s important to share our good experience so far with yourselves.

I’ve always found Hurford Salvi Carr to be open, communicative and pro-active in their management of my property. They have a great customer base and have found new tenants for my flat within weeks if not days of previous tenants giving notice. The rates are competitive and Hurford Salvi Carr staff are polite and efficient in their handling of tenants issues. Hurford Salvi Carr make my life as a landlord easier.

I have been letting my Limehouse flat through Hurford Salvi Carr for 9 years now. I have always found the individual letting agents I’ve dealt with very positive and courteous and have valued their advice on market rates, etc. They’ve always found me excellent tenants (with just one exception, my first let, which was a company let and the tenant they put in was way below par); since then, we’ve let to individuals and that has worked very well and all have stayed on for between 2 and 5 years. The letting service is not cheap, but I find everyone very professional and they have certainly found me good tenants at have negotiated good rental rates for me, so, in my view, in this business, they provide good value overall.
