I recently wrote a testimonial for the excellent service that Hannah Parker had given me in letting my flat. But without wishing to take anything from her I’d like to add that the main reason I came back to you this year is the superb service I’ve always had from Angela.
The fact that she’s completely bonkers only seems to make her even better at her job. She was patient and polite with me to the point of madness when at the beginning of my letting process this year I allowed myself to be persuaded by some chancers to go with them for what they promised would be a much higher rental. Inevitably, I came back and there was no “I told you so” – well, there was, but it was witty – and although it had cost us valuable time she wasn’t the least bit iffy and just got stuck right in. She must have known I’d be back…
She’s always great for advice, terrifically helpful, positive and, as I’ve already said is so important, a larf. I have already recommended HSC to someone as a result of the service I get and I shall continue to do so.

Our first contact with Hurford Salvi Carr was with Mason several years ago and we were impressed then at his knowledge of the market and his professionalism and were so pleased when he found us a new, suitable tenant before another rival local firm did so. This enabled us to sever links with the other firm who lacked the same degree of professionalism and whose lettings and property management service we had been using. It was always a pleasure to discuss rental renewals with Mason and then Colleen, both of whom guided us appropriately supported by extensive market insight. We would also like to thank the property management division for their help in collecting the rent and the associated administration. The fact that we cannot name individuals (please would you pass this on to those involved) is perhaps testament to the smooth-running of this side of the service.
We had always targeted the Olympics as being the time to start thinking about selling and, when our last tenants decided not to renew for a full year last October, we discussed the situation with Sebastian. Again, his market knowledge was in-depth and we made a decision to sell based on that discussion. The rest is history, as they say, with Kirk finding us a buyer who completed the purchase last Friday. Throughout the period Kirk worked hard for us liaising with the various parties to ensure that the sale went through. He also was very helpful in keeping an eye on the flat whilst it was empty which gave us peace of mind.
As you can see we have been very happy with the service we have received from Hurford Salvi Carr and would certainly recommend you.

They found us an excellent tenant at a rate substantially above market rate for an 18 month let covering the Olympics. Six weeks prior to the end of that tenancy they started marketing the flat and found an excellent tenant at a good rate bearing in mind the current oversupply in the market.
I would also note the new software being used which allowed tenants and landlord to sign electronically and speeded up the whole process.
Over the last 3 lets we have only had 2 unoccupied days which from a landlords viewpoint is the key indicator of the efficiency of an agent.

Alex and Cora both worked hard to find me a tenant for the above flat and also managed to secure an offer. They then managed to get this offer increased but for one reason or another Hurford Salvi Carr and I could not bridge the gap between us and the matter looked like it may deteriorate further. Thankfully, Cora managed to keep the potential tenants on hold (for a number of weeks), not an easy thing to do in the present climate and Alex, managed to liaise with me and encourage me to be more thoughtful / considerate in my approach in resolving the situation with Hurford Salvi Carr.
After much thought and some negotiation on the matter, Hurford Salvi Carr and I did manage to agree a solution and came to a compromise, which in turn, allowed the rental offer to be accepted and proceed to the flat at Clerkenwelll Green being let.
Being a landlord is not always easy and I am sure the same is true for being a letting or sales agent and sometimes tempers, egos and making a point can affect relationships, negatively.
In my situation both Alex and Cora recognised there was an issue and instead of walking away from it (which would have been the easiest choice), they managed the situation very effectively, resulting in both parties being happy and helped to maintain an existing relationship, which could have easily been broken.
Business is all about creating, building and maintaining relationships. In this regard, I think both Alex and Cora did an excellent job, both for me and for Hurford Salvi Carr and did a great job in representing the company and they were never negative about one party or the other.

Indeed, before choosing the agent I wanted to manage my property, I looked at a number of names in the market, and I can really tell the difference between Hurford Salvi Carr and the others I saw. My first contact was with Cora Cobain who has been very helpful and extremely service minded, she made the difference and confirmed that what I had heard was the reality.
